i sure do hope these folks have life insurance, SIKE this is natural selection at it'$ finest. butt if they do need life insurance I would recommend the geico salamander. rawr *snuggles closer to u* rwar love yall.
I am going to advertise. And you guys act like this is my first time doing this. Gladius has been much more dead than this, and then it hit the 50 player cap and had to be raised. It'll happen again. I'm just going through a lot of shit right now.
Non, I think you can easily revive the server, just not the way you’re doing it. ‘Voting drives’ and other player incentives don’t work, you need to market the server and possibly focus more on branding.
I'm not saying the playcount won't/cant recover, and I'm genuinely anticipating that it does. I still want the server to succeed and all, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that as it is rn, I believe the reset has messed with the server's chungus.
CJ, I really do think you're remembering it incorrectly. It has definitely been more dead than this. There were times when I thought Gladius might not come back. Now, there's at least a couple of players on at pretty much all times.
With the resets what we've essentially done is refined out the population until all that remains are the long time players who have for whatever reason stuck around for as long as they have, and during that refinement lost everybody else.
to keep the server moderately populated and draw in new places to replace the ones that left. But the more we reset, the more our population decreased. And eventually that led us here, where only little more than a dozen or so veteran players remain.
So, yah, I think it is fair to assume the reason why we have no players is solely because of the reset. Each time a reset happens, we lose off some of the playerbase. The first couple did not impact us much, because we had a large enough playerbase
Amy never in my four years here have I seen the server this inactive, even at this time of year. Even during the summer, what is supposed to be our most active season, the server was virtually dead. And, chief, if the players who voted for a reset
I think most players know they'll only play on any one server provisionally. The reset was unfortunate but i don't think assuming the reason why we have no players is solely because of it. Even if players voted for the reset they were probably
I voted for the reset, and abandoned Minecraft long before it. To be honest, I've been having decline in players on my own servers so it's just likely that it's busier time of year and folks are investing time into RL priorities.
So Sweden had international election observers for the first time in like forever and one of the dudes said it was the least democratic election he has ever seen (and he has observer russian and young eastern european elections) :/
people thinking making a post on the front page of a website where the only people who visit it are the same people who play on the server think it will bring gladius back to life. read also: anyone who stumbles back to this forgotten hell hole will
I so long for a president who loved his country like reagan. God bless his memory and the conservative values he exemplified and whose actions embodied how to be "presidential" and that being an American made you special.
Dear CJ - only reason I still hang around here is to log my Space Engineers activities and have a few laughs, as far as the Gladius Community goes, it's been dead to me for a very long time. Sincerely - Tru`stone
TRUSTONE I WILL SHIT UP YOUR ASS SO FUCKING HARD OKAY NOBODY LOVES YOU SO I SUGGEST YOU START BEING NICE TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE THE CLOSEST THING YOU'LL EVER HAVE TO A FAMILY. NON HAS SHOWN HIS CLEMENCY BY ALLOWING YOU TO REMAIN HERE AFTER SHOWING
I'm leaning very heavy towards having little to no vote rewards, and instead getting a key that will open a chest according to your rank. This, I think, would make rewards look less OP. There will be nerfing either way, it's a question of how much.
But seriously if it only takes three people, even if those people are at farms, to eliminate the chances of any other player receiving spawns then the issue is internal. What if three separate people are using farms?
Snipe there is still a couple million being sold every year, sure minecraft java edition might not be as popular as it used to be, but it's definitely not "dying". There are hundreds of thousands of concurrent players EVERY DAY.
I saw a good number of them when the mob rates were turned up. Ive seen 1 trident holding one in my farm in 5 hours, so they spawn, its just non overcompensated when he turned down the rates to help with lag.
